Violinist Lisa Archontidi-Tsaldaraki is launching her debut solo CD at Hitchin's Benslow Music next month.
The CD - entitled Rhapsody: 20th Century Violin Masterpieces - will be launched in the Palmer Hall at Benslow Music on April 16.
Accompanied by pianist Panayotis Archontide, the release contains the first international recording of the sonata by composer Manolis Kalomiris, the founder of the National Greek School (1883-1962), whose 140th anniversary it is this year.
The sonata is known for its 'fiendish difficulty', and has only been recorded twice, and solely for the Greek market.
The CD also contains a rendition of Yannis Constantinidis' Petite Suite on Airs from the Dodecanese Islands - written in 1947.

Other selections for the CD include a suite of Greek dances by Constantinidis, Britten's Suite op.6, Szymanowski’s Nocturne and Tarantella, and Ravel’s Tzigane.
Lisa, who is Greek-Australian and based in London, previously borrowed two different violins from Benslow Music's instrument loan scheme, and also performed at the scheme's 90th anniversary concert last year.
The instrument loan scheme has benefitted thousands of young artists - including several BBC Young Musician of the Year finalists.
Lisa's CD is available to listen to in digital form from all major streaming services.
