Teenage brain tumour patient Luke Webber, who lives in Stevenage, joined others to raise more than £1,180 by spearheading a charity takeover day at Queens Park Rangers Football Club.

QPR fan Luke, a pupil at Barclay Academy, travelled to the club to help raise awareness and collect donations for Brain Tumour Research.

Luke, 15, said: "It was a really enjoyable experience, with everyone I spoke to seeming genuinely interested in learning about the charity and my personal connection to it."

Luke was diagnosed with a low-grade craniopharyngioma in 2020 after suffering headaches and double vision for about 12 months.

He has undergone two surgeries and proton beam therapy and is now being monitored with regular scans, but suffers from life-changing chronic conditions as a result of what he has been through.
