Hitchin Forum is holding its next litter-pick towards the end of the month to help keep the town clean and tidy.

The Big Spring Clean will take place on Sunday, March 26, and is one of two litter-picking events the forum organises each year.

Among the litter pickers in the October event were Holy Saviour Guides, who also took part in the previous Big Spring Clean.

Organiser Bill Sellicks said: "All the indications are that the fantastic support that we have been receiving over the years from so many people who are keen to help keep the town tidy is set to continue.

"We are delighted to welcome more teams from a growing number of groups and organisations coming forward to join our regulars.

"We have been very fortunate with the weather for several years now and hope it will be kind to us again. The event is a great way to enjoy your Sunday morning and meet new people."
