Hertfordshire is blessed with a number of locations and activities that are suitable for the entire family.

A fun-filled activity for the whole family, a number of themed mini-golf locations are present in Hertfordshire.

From Watford's 'Puttshack' to Stevenage's 'Mr Mulligan's Lost World', visitors can enjoy challenging and entertaining courses.

A range of intricately designed areas are available, featuring dinosaurs, sea creatures and trivia.

2. Take a studio tour

Leavesden's 'Warner Bros. Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter' gives fans of the Wizarding World the chance to take a peak behind the scenes.

Immersive sets, magical costumes and knowledgeable guides are all included.

Visitors even have the chance to try a wizard's favourite brew, Butter Beer.

3. Explore natural history

The location features a range of fossils, taxidermy animals and insects.

An exhibit on the museum's founder, Walter Rothschild, gives an insight into his life.

4. Get to grips with aviation

London Colney's de Havilland Aircraft Museum is the only location in the world to feature three de Havilland Mosquitos.

The aircraft recorded a speed 38mph faster than a Spitfire during WWII.

The museum explains the past of the de Havilland company, and features a range of artifacts.

5. Discover the county's Roman history

Reminders of Hertfordshire's Roman heritage can be seen across the county.

The Welwyn Roman Baths allows visitors to "step back in time 1,800 years" to view the remains of an ancient Roman villa.

St Albans has a range of Roman relics to view, including 'The Roman Mosaic and Hypocaust' and ruins of a ancient wall in Verulamium Park.

6. Lose yourself in Lavender

Hitchin Lavender produce a range of gifts and products, based on the lavender that the company grow.

The location's fields are open from Spring, and feature a tea room and dining area.

Picnics can be brought along to the highly Instagrammable site, and dogs are also welcome.

7. Enjoy the snow all year round

A range of snow-based activities are available at Hemel Hempstead's Snow Centre.

Children and adults alike can learn to ski, whilst rubber rings can be enjoyed on 'The Ringo Slide'.

An Alpine-themed lodge restaurant is present, serving a range of food and drinks.
