A man in his 70s has died following a three vehicle crash on the B1000 Hertford Road.

The crash took place at around 3pm on Saturday (January 28) near Tewin, between Hertford and Welwyn Garden City.


The collision involved a white Ford Transit Connect, a blue Ford EcoSport and a blue Peugeot 307.

The Peugeot driver has died as a result his injuries.

Sergeant Alex Ward said: "Our thoughts go out to the man’s family, who are being supported by specially trained officers at this most difficult time.

"We are trying to establish exactly what happened yesterday afternoon and as well as witnesses, we are also keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage or anyone who saw the vehicles prior to the collision.
