The best model railway store in the UK is in Norwich according to a major manufacturer.
Great Eastern Models in Heartsease, which has been a hub for train enthusiasts for more than 35 years, has been named Retailer of the Year for 2022 by model train giants Bachmann.
It comes after the retailer said it was bucking the national trend by seeing soaring sales since the end of lockdown.
Co-owner Anne Martin said she was chuffed with the award which she felt recognised the Plumstead Road shop's community spirit.
She said: "We are thrilled to receive this award. We are a small independent shop with a big heart.
"We pride ourselves on good old fashioned customer service and really try and treat all our customers, and visitors to our premises or online Facebook page, like family.
"We love what we do and hope it shines through."
Judges at Bachmann said the store went "above and beyond" to serve its customers and praised its "professional advice" and "community relationship".
