Two detached properties on the same plot of land on the outskirts of Norwich have come up for sale for in excess of £2m.

The bespoke dwellings - in Fakenham Road, Taverham - are made up of the larger of the two properties serving as a home for the current owners, with the secondary house acting as commercial space.

Across the two dwellings are seven bathrooms, seven reception rooms and seven bedrooms - with the possibility of up to 10 bedrooms in total.

It boasts masses of entertaining space - the kitchen spanning a whopping 49ft in width as well as a metal-clad clubhouse at the far end of the rear garden.

"They've spent a significant chunk of money bringing it up to a high standard throughout.

"They draw their own water source up through a self-sustaining borehole, making them self-run buildings in that sense.

"Both properties are immaculately maintained. Truly one-of-a-kind and very well thought through.

"Taverham has always been a sought-after area."

The dwellings also have zoned heating areas.

Alex added that he can see the dynamic staying as a home with business premises - although with change of planning permission, the secondary property can be converted back into a residential space for a larger or multi-generational family.

"I think a home-business set-up is what works currently and that's how it would work for the next owners," he said.

"But there's also a chance to divide the plot and sell part of it off.

"The commercial side has everything - bathrooms, kitchens - it just needs minor cosmetic changes to make it more homely.

"It's terrific value for money.

"It has really high-spec finishes throughout.

"The main house is bespoke and to a very unique taste - with gold and silver resin throughout for the most part.

"It's a flashy, racy house. But it's great in the sense that if you want something that's different, you won't see anything else like this.

"This is a one-of-a-kind for Norwich."
