A search has been launched for the owner of a gold ring found by walkers while wandering through a farm in a village near Norwich.
Sharon Leveridge was walking with a friend near High Ash Farm in Caistor St Edmund when they saw something sparkling in the mud.
Ms Leveridge bent down to find the ring, which she says looked new, and is now hunting for its owner.
She said the ring featured an inscription on the inside which she will use to test those claiming the jewellery.
Ms Leveridge said: "My friend Karen and I went for a walk and she saw it in the mud.
"It’s not old, but obviously means something to someone, as rings often do, which is why I posted it on the local Facebook group before letting the police deal with it.
"If you can quote the wording engraved inside then it's yours."
The ring's owner is asked to direct message Ms Leveridge on Facebook under 'Sharon Sarah Leveridge'.
