The Stevenage Lytton Players are returning for their annual variety extravaganza, Lights Up, this month.

The show features sketches, dances, songs, medleys and magic acts, with a twist.

This time around, they will be hosting a one-night-only After Dark show during the middle of the run, featuring slightly more adult, post-watershed material.

Director Tom Beirne said: "We wanted to try something different this year.

"We've run a few post-watershed comedy nights over the last year and a half, which have been well-attended and have sold well, so we saw a gap in the market for Lights Up to have its own variation. So if you like adult comedy, get your tickets quick.

"The regular show is a firm family favourite and won't be going anywhere."

The shows run from Wednesday, January 25 to Saturday, January 28 at 7.45pm, with a light supper included, and for a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm.

Lights Up After Dark will take place on Friday, January 27 at 9pm.

Both shows will be performed at The Stevenage Lytton Theatre in Vardon Road.

Tickets are £12 for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and £10 for the matinee and After Dark.
