Stevenage Leisure Limited (SLL) has lost the contract to manage leisure facilities in the town, which it had held for 25 years.
Stevenage Borough Council has awarded the new contract to Everyone Active, who will take over from April 1.
The facilities affected include Stevenage Swimming Centre, the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre, Fairlands Valley Outdoor Activity Centre, and Stevenage Golf and Conference Centre.
Richard Allan, SLL's CEO, said: “SLL are disappointed to have been unsuccessful in winning the new contract, but are hugely proud of the impact they have made to the health of the Stevenage community over the past 25 years.
"SLL are working with Everyone Active to ensure a seamless transfer of the operations, and can guarantee it is business as usual for our customers at all of the facilities.”
