Pupils at a Stevenage primary school have been completing their Junior Duke Awards.

For the first time, pupils at Trotts Hill Primary School have been taking part in the award, which involves completing up to ten different challenges throughout the academic year.

  • Computer skills
  • Crafting e.g. sewing and knitting

The challenges aim to improve the children's mental and physical wellbeing, and all pupils from reception to Year 6 are able to take part.

Nikki Wilby, EYFS leader, said: "We are all really proud to see our children applying their learning at home and in the community.

"Through completing the Junior Duke awards, we hope that children are able to become more confident and independent, and we are enjoying watching them become active members within our local community.
