The open-air singalong will last for around 40 minutes, and residents are invited to come and join in.

Reverend Peter Crumpler, associate minister, said: "We began singing carols at the bandstand during Covid and have continued since then.

“There’s something special about singing carols in the open air and we find people of all ages coming along and joining in.”

The event will mark the beginning of St Paul's Christmas programme.

Other events to take place include a traditional carol service on Sunday, December 11, a ‘Beer and Carols’ event on Sunday, December 18, and crib services on Christmas Eve.

The church will also be hosting two 'Quiet Christmas' services on Wednesday, December 14, and Monday, December 19.

These events are described as "reflective services away from the bustle of Christmas".
