Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation has made a fund of £35,000 available to support groups, charities and clubs who are struggling to cope with rising costs.

Voluntary and community organisations can apply for grants of up to £3,000 to help them continue providing activities and support for Letchworth residents.

Some groups are struggling to survive, with inflation currently over ten per cent and the cost-of-living crisis growing.

Grants from this fund could be used to cover utility costs, volunteer expenses, equipment hire, food, material for events, and more.

Alastair Stewart, head of charitable projects and partnerships, said: "Community organisations in Letchworth are very resourceful and creative and I am sure this fund will be put to very good use across the town."
