A bag containing a bank card has been stolen during a break-in in Letchworth.
The incident took place between 4.15pm and 4.45pm on Friday, October 14.
At that time a blue denim bag was taken from the footwell of a van on Spring Road.
The bag contained a bank card, which was subsequently used to make two transactions being before blocked.
The bag's owner, Nigel Rigby, told the Comet that a book with information about his customers, £200 in cash and trade cards were also inside the bag.
These trade cards are needed by Mr Rigby for his career in construction.
He said: "It was the personal items in the bag that have upset me."
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire police confirmed that "enquiries are ongoing at this time".
