The Welwyn Hatfield Times can exclusively reveal the mouthwatering domestic clash between Hatfield boxer Billy Joe Saunders v Chris Eubank Jnr is back on.
Despite Eubank failing to meet Saunders and promoter Frank Warren’s deadline of 5pm last Thursday [September 25] to agree to fight, the Hatfield boxer has had a change of heart.
Speaking exclusively to Welwyn Hatfield Times reporter John Hutchinson, Saunders said: “I’ve been told by Frank [Warren] that he has eventually signed the fight and now I’m looking forward to it and getting in there and smashing him up.”
Of his U-turn on the imposed deadline, Saunders added: “It’s what all the fans wanted, and financially it makes perfect sense.
“It means once I get this out of the way, I will be 100 per cent ready for a world title shot, which is already sorted.”
And so it appears the full line-up for Bad Blood at the ExCel is complete.
Saunders v Eubank will feature on the undercard of the big heavyweight settler between Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury in the main event, live and exclusive on BoxNation.
