The eighth Willow 10k was staged on Sunday morning using routes through the estate’s park.

Around 750 competitors took part.

There was a short ‘junior dash’ for children followed by the main event, a 5k race and a longer 10k course.

Fundraisers were able to run, jog or walk either of the two routes.

Willow is based in Welwyn Garden City town centre and organises special days for young adults with life-limiting illnesses.

It was set up by former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper Bob Wilson and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter Anna.

The charity has been supported by the Welwyn Hatfield Times since its launch 17 years ago.

There will be more pictures and a full story in next week’s Welwyn Hatfield Times.
