A MAN who was found dead in a railway tunnel has been named.
The body of Garry Jones, from Ripon Road in Stevenage, was discovered when a train driver was passing through the tunnel near Welwyn North station at around 4.50pm on Saturday.
The 48-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene following multiple injuries, and police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
An inquest into Mr Jones’ death was opened and adjourned at Hertfordshire Coroner’s Office yesterday (Thursday).
