AN ELDERLY man who died after his car crashed into a barrier on the A1(M) has been named.
An inquest into the death of 74-year-old Michael Prior was opened and adjourned at the Hertfordshire Coroner’s Office yesterday (Wednesday).
Mr Prior, from London, was travelling southbound when his black Range Rover crashed into a barrier on the hard shoulder just before junction 7 for Stevenage on Sunday afternoon.
The car then left the motorway and collided with trees.
Mr Prior was pronounced dead at the scene.
