CHILDREN at Puddleducks Day Nursery in Baldock have been selected to grow plants for the Chelsea Flower Show.
The coordinator of the growing project at the nursery, Sam Towns, said: “It’s a great privilege for our nursery to be asked to grow plants for the most prestigious flower show in the world.
“Our children are really excited to be part of the gardens. Let’s hope we can reach the high standards expected by the Royal Horticultural Society judges.”
The children at the nursery, which was selected by the Miracle-Gro company, have been busy making papier-mâché plant pots and decorating them with bright colours. They have also been growing a range of flowers and a wide variety of vegetables.
