EX FOOTBALLER Paul Gascoigne has this morning (Monday) pleaded guilty to one count of assault and one of being drunk and disorderly.
The 46-year-old appeared before Stevenage magistrates at 10am to face charges related to an incident at Stevenage Railway Station on the evening of July 4.
The assault he pleaded guilty to relates to a station guard.
Magistrates ordered Gascoigne, of Gateshead, to pay a total of £1,245 – £600 for the common assault, £400 for being drunk and disorderly, £85 court costs, £60 victim surcharge, and £100 compensation to guard Jack Sherrington.
