A CARE home which hosted an annual barbecue for residents past and present welcomed almost 100 people.
Burleigh House Residential Care Home in Baldock held the event on Saturday, where people turned out to enjoy food and drinks.
Also attending the barbecue was North Herts district councillor David Levett.
Director of the care home, Mihir Shah, said: “It was a fantastic afternoon with just under 100 attendees, including our residents, their families, families of former residents, district nurses and other residents from the community.
“Our residents in particular thoroughly enjoyed the event, with plenty of food and drink and entertainment in the way of a 1960s and 1970s specialist singer.
“The residents particularly liked so many children joining us on the day, and we provided lots of child-friendly entertainment for them, including face painting, a bouncy castle and a paddling pool.
“This is a wonderful occasion for us to continue to integrate and give back to our community.”
The event is one of the highlights in the care home’s social calendar.
“We can’t wait until next year,” said Mr Shah.
