The programme – a spin off of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding – documented travelling communities’ attitudes to birth and death, focusing on Thomas, who was killed five days after the birth of his first child Lilly.

Hundreds of family and friends turned out for the 21-year-old’s funeral, which was held in Hatfield in June.

The episode is being repeated tonight on 4seven at 9pm and is available to view on 4OD for the next month.

• Investigations into the murder continue and follow an appeal on BBC’s Crimestoppers in May.

Police revealed they are looking for Thomas’ second cousin John Boy Ward, 32, and his wife Joleen, 21, in connection with Thomas’ death. The couple’s last known address was Clarkson Court in Hatfield.
