A pensioner has been found not guilty of illegally importing heroin with an estimated value of £12.5 million.
Knoll Bryan, 73, was acquitted of the charge which related to an incident in Works Road, Letchworth GC, in November last year when a lorry driver became suspicious of the load he was carrying.
Mr Bryan, of Solon Road in London, had pleaded not guilty to illegally importing a Class A drug and was cleared of the charge at St Albans Crown Court yesterday (Thursday).
