A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing two men on Saturday.
Police have arrested a 38-year-old man, of no fixed abode, following a double stabbing on King George V Playing Fields in Stevenage.
It is believed that three men, who were known to each other, were involved in an altercation. One of the men has then allegedly stabbed the other two with a knife before fleeing the scene.
The air ambulance attended to assist treatment of the men however neither man is thought to have life-threatening injuries. One man was taken to Lister Hospital and the other to Addenbrookes Hospital, in Cambridge, for further treatment.
Police believe the incident was not related to the EDL march that took place in Stevenage earlier the same day. The arrested man is currently being held in police custody.
