A man appeared in court yesterday, Wednesday, charged with possession of 18kg of heroin – with a street value of £2.4 million.
Patrick Forde, of Hillary Rise in Arlesey, appeared at Dublin District Court charged with possession and intent to supply the class A drug. He was remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance on August 13.
The 40-year-old was arrested in the Irish capital on June 28 along with his fiancée Susan Brown, who he lives with.
Ms Brown appeared before Drogheda District Court charged with the same offence last week and was remanded in custody. She is due to return to the court on July 25.
