Students are putting on an evening’s entertainment in aid of Mind in Mid Herts in Hatfield.
Second year students from the University of Hertfordshire are organising a dinner dance event on Friday, March 30 to support Mind in Mid Herts, which has a base in Welwyn Garden City.
Mind in Mid Herts is a mental health charity that assists with prevention, recovery, and support services in Hertfordshire to empower people to take control of their mental health.
The Harrier Pub in Hatfield will play host to the student-organised event, which will have a combination of tasty foods, a treat table, music, a photo corner and raffle prizes.
The pub has offered its space for free in light of the good cause.
Organiser Christina Kendall said: “Our dinner dance is for the community to come together and have a great time while addressing mental health, which is a serious issue.
“I suffer from anxiety and depression and understand that anything can be a weight on our mental health – from finances to relationships – to just having a bad day.”
The event will take place between 7pm and 12am.
