A stolen moped has been spotted outside a swimming pool – months after it was taken from a garage block.
A moped matching the description of the blue Yamaha bike was spotted outside Stevenage Swimming Centre in mid-December – seven months after it was taken from a garage in Austen Paths during May.
Officers believe the moped – which has a registration number of LR62 LDE – is still being ridden in the town.
“We believe the bike may still be in the town and is currently being used,” said PCSO Kirsty Lambert.
“It may be that the person who is using the moped does not realise that it is stolen. We are appealing for anyone with any information about this moped to get in touch with us or call Crimestoppers anonymously.”
PCSO Lambert can be contacted on non-emergency number 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
