A cyclist was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car on Periwinkle Lane in Hitchin this morning.
The woman, in her 40s, was knocked off her bicycle after a collision with a black Ford Focus on the roundabout where Strathmore Avenue meets Periwinkle Lane at around 7.45am.
A spokesman for the ambulance service confirmed the woman was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage for further checks but her condition is not life-threatening.
There have been a number of collisions at the roundabout with Hitchin councillor Judi Billing previously calling for better signage on Periwinkle Lane.
