An eight-time GP world champion nicknamed the ‘Prince of Speed’ has paid a visit to a motorcycle accessories store to welcome in the shop’s new season.
Phil Read headed down to Bike Stop in Stevenage High Street on Saturday for the weekend extravaganza, which also included appearances from World Superbike Championship rider Leon Haslam and World Endurance Championship racer Steve Mercer.
Shop director Martin Brown said: “Bike Stop has always been more than just a shop – motorcyclists come from far and wide to visit to see the latest range and grab a coffee and homemade cake.
“There was a great crowd and the weather held good – all in all it was a great couple of days.”
