Police are investigating a burglary at a Shillington home after crooks broke into the Church Street property while the householders were on holiday.
They say that a group of offenders tried to steal from a Land Rover parked outside before getting into the house and helping themselves to a laptop computer.
The offence was reported on Saturday when the homeowners returned from holiday, but it is believed the laptop was stolen at around 11pm the previous Sunday, June 28.
Investigating officer PC Rupert Carlile said: “This was an awful and distressing end to a holiday for this family and we are keen to bring those responsible to justice.
“I am particularly keen to speak to three men seen in a red car earlier in the day in Shillington, or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in this area, as their information may help our investigation.”
You can contact PC Carlile using the non-emergency number 101, text information to 07786 200 011, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
