Teddy Sheringham has fine-tuned his work-in-progress squad further with the one-month loan acquisitions of Crystal Palace goalkeeper Chris Kettings and Tottenham Hotspur left-back Connor Ogilvie.
Kettings made 15 appearances for the Eagles’ development side last season and has represented Scotland at both U19 and U21 level while Ogilvie played 16 times for Spurs in the U21 Premier League in 2014/15. Both are yet to feature for the first team.
The duo are likely to be named in Boro’s squad for tomorrow’s League Two trip to Terry Butcher’s Newport County.
Like Stevenage, the Exiles have begun the season with two defeats, beaten 3-0 by Cambridge United on the opening day of the new season and 2-1 at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Capital One Cup first round last Tuesday.
Follow @stevenageborofc for updates from Rodney Parade tomorrow afternoon (Saturday). Kick-off 3pm.
