A children’s indoor play area in Hitchin welcomed a talented young artist who had created a stunning paper design based on a book with the same name as the facility for youngsters and parents.
The Secret Garden in Sun Street hosted 16-year-old Tabitha Wall, who created a book sculpture which took its inspiration from the children’s classic novel The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Teen artist Tabitha said: “I used very sharp scalpels and wire to produce the book sculpture. The feedback from everyone at the Secret Garden play area has been really good, they really like what I’ve created. We thought it would be a nice idea to bring my version of The Secret Garden to Hitchin’s version of The Secret Garden.
“I also enjoyed helping out with children’s arts activities during my visit here.”
Secret Garden joint owner Isabelle Maguire added: “We were happy to be able to host Tabitha’s wonderful Secret Garden. It’s a very lovely piece of work.
“Everyone has really enjoyed seeing it at our Secret Garden.”
