Boro looking to make it back-to-back victories in League Two

Stevenage head to Dagenham & Redbridge tomorrow hoping to make it back-to-back wins in League Two.

The last time they were able to do that was when they won three in a row – against Cheltenham, Northampton and Portsmouth – in April.

Their opponents currently sit bottom of the division with just one point from four matches, but drew last time out with promotion hopefuls Wycombe Wanderers.

Last season they had mixed results against Stevenage.

In December, Boro came away from Victoria Road with all three points thanks to a 2-0 win with goals from Charlie Lee and Chris Whelpdale.

However, in March Luke Howell poked home the only goal of the game as the visitors won 1-0 at the Lamex.

That match was a heated affair, and in the weeks afterwards Dagenham midfielder Joss Labadie was banned from football for six months for biting Stevenage defender Ronnie Henry during the game.

Team News

Wycombe will be without the suspended Matt McClure. The striker, a summer signing from Wycombe, was sent off last weekend against his former side. Matt Partridge has also left the club this week, but Liam O’Brien could keep his place in the team after starting last week.

For Stevenage Henry could return to the squad after a recent bout of mumps, while Chris Whelpdale should also be in contention. Finnish international goalkeeper Jess Joronen, who joined the club on a six-month loan deal this week, should also feature in the matchday squad.

Dave McAllister (knee ligament) and Jamie McCombe (medial collateral ligament) are expected to miss out while Adam Marriott (knee) and Ben Kennedy (hip) remain long-term absentees.
