A police officer who admitted nine charges relating to making and possessing indecent images was jailed today for eight months.
Bedfordshire policeman Paul Henry was sent to prison at Lincolnshire Crown Court after admitting eight charges of making an indecent image of a child and a further charge of possession of extreme pornography.
The 42-year-old from Donington, Lincolnshire, committed the offences between January 1, 2012, and April 30, 2015.
Speaking after the sentencing, deputy chief constable Mike Colbourne said: “Online abuse is not a victimless crime and we will not tolerate anyone involved in such criminality.”
PC Henry remains suspended from duty and misconduct proceedings will continue.
