A police helicopter and a dog unit were sent out last night in a bid to track down three people who fled after police stopped a car in Stevenage.
Officers stopped the vehicle in York Road at around 10.55pm, with three of the four people inside making off on foot.
A police helicopter and a dog unit assisted a search of the St Nicholas and Great Ashby area, but the trio have not yet been found.
The driver of the vehicle – a man – was reported for traffic offences and will receive a letter detailing these and they will be dealt with.
This could include a court summons, a fixed penalty notice and an educational course, or no further action being taken.
Investigations continue – anyone with information can call police on 101.
