The mum of an 11-year-old girl with rare genetic disease Niemann’s Pick has thanked a choir for supporting a charity which has helped the family cope.
Sing Rock raised £385 for Niemann’s Pick UK after hosting a gig at The Coach and Horses pub in Stevenage High Street.
The charity has supported Amy Doyle following her diagnosis with the disease – which causes fatty substances to build up in the brain and other major organs – at the age of one.
Mum Joan said: “Thank you to the Sing Rock choir led by Samantha Griffiths and Martin Rushford and all who supported this great evening – you deserve a standing ovation!”
Choir co-founder Samantha said: “It was a fantastic evening and a huge turnout for the charity– it couldn’t have gone better.”
