Sunny weather helped swell the crowds at Fair In The Square at Hitchin’s Market Place on Saturday as it was hailed a great success.
The event hosted by Hitchin primary schools saw a wide variety of stalls including cakes, books, bric-a-brac, games, crafts, face painting, a climbing wall – as well as entertainment from dance groups which featured some of the children from the schools.
Hundreds attended the annual fundraising event throughout the day to support the event and the primary schools, as well as to sample the mouthwatering cakes on offer.
Wilshere-Dacre Junior Academy head Sarah Smith said: “It was a fantastic event. It was great to see so many schools represented including York Road Nursery for the first time this year.
“Well done to everyone concerned who made it such a success.”
