Visitors were treated to a special surprise at the Triangle Garden open day in Hitchin over the weekend – as prolific knitters ‘yarnbombed’ the event.
The event at the community project in the town’s Ransom’s Recreation Ground saw a large number of people enjoy unusually-placed knitted creations including a red woollen bicycle. Organiser Vicky Wyer said: “We were delighted to see the garden adorned with wool. It was a lovely addition to our open day and made it very special. We had carnival drumming from Garden City Samba, a Fun Dog Show, ‘welly wanging’ and tours of the garden and much more.”
