Biggleswade Carnival saw a successful week of events take place in the town, ending on Saturday with the carnival parade and children’s carnival disco and a grand draw on Sunday at Biggleswade Social Club.
The theme of the parade, which started at Biggleswade Train Station and ended at Biggleswade Academy, was Music Through The Ages – which encouraged people to dress in a whole host of wacky costumes.
Money raised went to the carnival fund, which is then distributed to worthy charities at the end of the year.
Children enjoyed two hours of packed fun at the disco on Sunday, which involved lots of dancing to hits like the cha cha slide, a free raffle and a sweet stall.
There was also a quiz night held on Monday, a bingo night held on Tuesday at Biggleswade Social Club, and a crib night at the working men’s club on Thursday.
A spokeswoman for the Biggleswade carnival committee said: “All money raised will be distributed later this year to local organisations and charities at a presentation evening.”
