Knebworth’s Christmas lights switch-on event has been hailed a success after about 400 people turned out on Friday night.
The event at St Martin’s Church was organised by Mather Marshall estate agents’ Knebworth branch and supported by a whole host of local businesses, as well as the church itself and the parish council.
Money raised will go to the village hall’s Link Up Lunch Club and Knebworth Scouts.
“It was fantastic to see everyone coming together to enjoy an evening of festive cheer,” said Darren and Megan Gilbert from Mather Marshall Knebworth.
“We have had a lot of positive feedback and it was great to speak with Henry & Martha Lytton Cobbold, of Knebworth House & Estate, who said it was so lovely to see such an event in the village. It was a combined effort of the whole village – thank you all so much.”
