Police have cordoned off a wooded grass verge at Silam Road in Stevenage after a man in his 50s was found dead there on Sunday.
Herts Police has said it is treating the death as suspicious.
Officers were called to Silam Road at around 4.15pm on Sunday afternoon, following reports that the man had died.
Ambulance crews also went to the scene but confirmed the man had passed away.
Anyone with information or who witnessed anything suspicious should contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
