A school bus raised eyebrows on Letchworth’s Grange estate when a piece of unorthodox parking saw it block an entire footpath.
The coach was parked almost entirely off the road opposite Stonehill School in Western Close, blocking all of the path and much of the neighbouring grass as well.
It has not been made clear to the Comet why the bus was parked in this way on Friday last week, but the operator has promised that it won’t happen again.
A Herts County Council spokeswoman said: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The bus operator has admitted that the bus was parked at the Grange estate.
“The operator will discuss the issue with the driver involved and has assured the county council that this will not happen again.”
