As North Hertforshire baked in the UK’s hottest weather since 1976, Comet photographer Danny Loo cooled off by visiting some of our splash parks and swimming pools to see how families were coping in the heat.
The heatwave has seen five sweltering days in a row with temperatures topping 30 degrees in North Herts on Monday and Wednesday.
But all good things have to come to an end and it looks like we could be faced with rain storms today with maximum temperatures of 22 degrees. A yellow weather warning is also in force in the area for heavy rain and possible localised flooding today.
The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 20 degrees throughout the weekend with a cloudy outlook.
