Hitchin’s Yoga Shed is to hold its annual 108 Sun Salutations this weekend to mark International Yoga Day and the summer solstice.
The event at the Hermitage Rd Bar & Restaurant will be from 8am to 11am this Saturday, with all proceeds going to Ourmala – a London-based charity that uses yoga to help refugees recover from cruelty and violence.
Yoga Shed owners Sorrel Broadbridge and Helen Flower told the Comet that after the success of last year’s salutation event at their studio it was destined to be bigger this year, and were pleased to be working with the Hermitage Rd team.
Helen said: “More than 10 yoga teachers are involved in the event, and each will deliver some rounds of salutations – offering variations and modifications, keeping it open to everyone.
“We welcome anyone to take part in this fun challenge to help us raise more than £3,000.”
