A special school in Biggleswade has had a major restructure as it works towards becoming a centre of excellence.
Ivel Valley School, which is located across two sites in Biggleswade, was previously set up as a primary school off The Baulk and a secondary school in Hitchmead Road.
The Baulk site has now become Ivel Valley College, with Hitchmead Road accommodating the school.
Principal Joe Creswick said: “Following a ‘good’ Ofsted rating in May this year, we continue to strive towards becoming a centre of excellence.
“I am extremely proud of the progress we have made as a school and look forward building on the links we already have with the local community.”
The college caters for students aged 16 to 19, which the school provides places for children aged three to 16.
Primary-aged pupils – who only had access to a concrete playground – now have use of a safe green space, a sensory garden and a large sports field.
