Highfield School in Letchworth has received the Wellbeing Award for Schools after working towards the achievement for the last year.

Last week, an award verifier visited the school to assess the work which has been carried out and presented Highfield with the award.

Assistant headteacher and emotional wellbeing and mental health lead Miss Waseem said: “We have been working hard with students, staff, parents/carers and the student leadership team to develop our offering here at school and are delighted to have been recognised for our work in this area.

“We look forward to developing our work in this area over the coming years and being able to support our students, staff and their families.”

The Wellbeing Award for Schools is a whole-school initiative which was developed in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau to focus on the emotional wellbeing and mental health of staff and students.
