A puppy has died after being chucked from a moving vehicle on the A1(M) by the junction for Welwyn.
Police received a call at 12.22pm today to reports of an injured puppy on the A1M northbound near junction 6, for Welwyn.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers attended and sadly found the puppy deceased.
“Both Highways and the RSPCA have also been made aware of the incident.”
Witnesses said they saw the puppy, believed to be a Labrador, being chucked out of the window while the car was moving.
An RSPCA spokesperson said: “This sounds like a very distressing incident.
“If anyone saw what happened to this puppy first hand we would urge them to get in contact with the RSPCA on 0300 123 4999.”
