Herts Careline has received a royal thank you card from Her Majesty The Queen after the community alarm and telecare service sent a message of appreciation to mark HRH’s Platinum Jubilee.

Herts Careline helps thousands of residents live independently at home with help on hand via their assistive technology equipment when they need it.

The service, backed by North Herts Council and Herts County Council, decided to write to The Queen to pass on its good wishes on her Platinum Jubilee and those of the residents it supports.

The response read: “I send you my grateful thanks for your kind message on the occasion of the Seventieth Anniversary of my Accession to the Throne.”

Jo Dufficy, service director at North Herts Council, said: “We were delighted to receive the royal card.

"The Platinum Jubilee is a significant milestone and we look forward to the upcoming celebrations in the summer.”
