A performance by the Russian State Opera at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage has been cancelled because of Russia's war with Ukraine.
The company had been due to perform Aida on Saturday.
Amande Concerts, which runs the Russian State Opera, says it's just a brand name for a UK company.
In a statement, it said: "This brand acts as an umbrella for the presentation of artists of many different nationalities that have graduated from artistic institutions in Russia and countries that were formerly part of the Soviet Union.
"We understand the potential for confusion this name causes, but there is no link between Amande Concerts and the Russian 'state' as a political entity."
A spokesman for the Gordon Craig said: "The performance of Aida at the Gordon Craig has been cancelled, along with the rest of the national tour. Discussions remain ongoing as to the possibility of rescheduling the date."
