A MURDERER from Stevenage has been on the run since failing to return to prison more than a year ago.
Daniel Driscoll, 34, was serving a sentence at HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire when he was released on a community visit on December 15, 2007 but failed to return.
He was given a life sentence for murdering a 19-year-old man during an incident at a house in Canterbury Way, Stevenage in April 1992.
Herts Police today (Friday) made an appeal to members of the public for information on the whereabouts of Driscoll.
If they do see him, they are warned not to approach him but to call police immediately.
